‘That Might Very Well Be the Wildest Moment I’ve Ever Experienced Watching Combat Sports’ -Joe Rogan Left Stunned by Julianna Pena’s Performance

Julianna Pena has taken the world by storm following her recent triumph over Amanda Nunes last weekend. Nunes appeared to be unstoppable prior to her battle at UFC 269. However, Pena snapped the Brazilian’s twelve-fight winning streak and left every MMA fan shocked.

The commentary booth was on fire during the second round of the fight. Every strike thrown by Peña had Joe Rogan screaming in excitement. Her performance wowed him, and you could see it on his face when he conducted her octagon interview. In fact, Rogan took to his Instagram to share his joy, and he congratulated ‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ on her victory.

He wrote, “I’ve seen a lot of fights, but that might very well be the wildest moment I’ve ever experienced watching combat sports. @dc_mma and I were about to have a heart attack. Thank god @jon_anik kept it together and professional! A massive congratulations to the new champ @venezuelanvixen for turning the combat sports world on its head and giving it a proper spanking! What a night!!!”

Nobody expected Pena to be able to faze the former champion, but she came out and did exactly what she had said she would. The Venezuelan was laser-focused and extremely intricate with her striking. She kept moving forward and took Nunes down.

What’s next for Julianna Pena?

After putting up one of the biggest upsets of the year at UFC 269, Julianna Pena surely has a lot coming her way. This is the first time in her career that she has tasted championship victory and she surely deserves it.

In her post-fight press conference, Julianna Pena said that she is prepared to give Amanda Nunes a rematch after clinching Nunes’ women’s bantamweight title at UFC 269.

We can do it next week, I’m free next month, two months from now. Whenever they want to do it, I’m ready,” said Pena on a rematch.

She also added another surprise for fans. Pena said,” I would like to go down and rematch Valentina Shevchenko. I would love to get that rematch against Germaine de Randamie. I would love a rematch if that’s what she wants, against Amanda Nunes … Right now I just kind of want to soak it all in and enjoy this moment of becoming the champion tonight. “
