Strickland further claimed that at the podcast he was about to have an outburst. In a series of tweets, the 32-year-old said he let his emotions loose for the first time and it was heavy on him.

Du Plessis said that Strickland’s father doesn’t hold a candle to what he was about to do to him at UFC 297. “Do you think your dad beat the sh*t out of you? Your dad doesn’t have sh*t on me” said Du Plessis. He further stated that Strickland will remember his childhood trauma when he faces him.
