Kiwi fighter Dan Hooker has fought some of the best UFC fighters in the UFC. He has gone against the likes of Michael Chandler and Dustin Poirier since his debut in 2009. He is known for his lethal striking capability and is known as the ‘Hangman’ among his fans. Hooker recently shared a video of a BJJ practitioner inflicting a choke on a fellow fighter and he captioned the story ‘The Hangman’. To be called the hangman by the real Hangman must be a high point for Dory Aoun; a Jiu-Jitsu and Fitness enthusiast and 3X No-Gi World Champion.

The video that showed Aoun taking control over a fellow fighter got loads of reactions from fans. Aoun could be seen inflicting a strong rear naked choke on a fighter who looked totally out of sorts. Not just the choke, things became worse for the other fighter when Aoun stood him with a choke, which resulted in the fighter tapping out. Dan Hooker looked impressed and shared the video initially shared by Dory Aoun on his story.

Fans react to the new ‘Hangman’

MMA fans had a lot to say about the Brutal choke and they didn’t hold back.

A fan’s comment read, I was thinking to go to the chiropractor but maybe he can do it better.”.

Another fan commented, “Jiu jitsu is all about efficiency and technique… also jiu jitsu” The fan was trying to point out the brute force involved in the move.

While a fan said, y didn’t he just put his feet on the ground…he was prob gonna get choked but he choked himself lol,”

Another had some criticism for Dory Aoun, the fan commented, “That’s just disrespectful. You’d made your point. Why did you need to drag him around like that?”

There were fans who had their own views about the fight. Someone said, That was savage!” while another said, “He gooned him”

Dan Hooker will be looking at a good year ahead

Throughout his career, Hooker has faced some of the best fighters in the UFC, including Dustin Poirier, Michael Chandler, and Al Iaquinta. He has also earned several impressive victories, including knockouts over Gilbert Burns and James Vick. Despite suffering a few losses in recent years, Hooker remains a top contender in the UFC’s lightweight division and is known for his toughness, heart, and willingness to take on any opponent.

Hooker was last seen at UFC 281, where he went against Claudio Puelles and won the fight in the second round with a body kick. If The tough lad shared the video, it’s a definite thing that he would have seen something special in Dory Aoun and Aoun can take pride in it.
