Dana White recently announced the return of the UFC to Abu Dhabi for UFC 294. Wherein the lightweight champion, Islam Makhachev, would defend his throne against the former champion, Charles Oliveira, in a much-awaited rematch. But that wasn’t all. After the announcement, the Brazilian warrior decided to go for a brand new tattoo.

Oliveira’s new tattoo has been circling throughout the internet with unimaginable speed. As it arrived on Twitter, the fanbase was split in half. While many of the fans rooted for ‘Do Bronx’ to rise victorious, the other half wished for Makhachev’s victory. Furthermore, the fans also opined about the tattoo’s usefulness. Nevertheless, the entropy regarding UFC 294 has risen to great heights.

After the announcement of Oliveira versus Makhachev 2, the Brazilian went ahead and gifted himself with a tattoo, where two hands were joined in prayer, and the word “Iluminado” was written below. As soon as the picture of the tattoo crossed the threshold of Twitter, the fans took over the comments section and revealed what they thought.

The fanbase was divided into two factions. While half of the fans stood in support of Oliveira, the other half undeniably stood with the Dagestani star. However, some of the fans claimed they were Makhachev fans and wished for Oliveira’s victory.

Another fan prayed to the Almighty to bless the former lightweight champion and give him the belt.

One of the fans seemed to believe that ‘Do Bronx’ was praying to the Illuminati for the win.

Another fan joked about the fighter being involved in black magic.

But many fans were of the opinion that the tattoo would not help him win against Makhachev. 

Furthermore, one of the fans believed that there was no need for a rematch since Makhachev won the previous bout fair and square.

Nonetheless, both fighters developed an aura around them that attracted every eye in the combat sports universe. The titans clashing once again was what many waited for.

Khabib Nurmagomedov had a piece of advice for Islam Makhachev

Khabib Nurmagomedov is closely associated with Makhachev. He was the one who took care of Makhachev’s training for his fight against Oliveira back in UFC 280. However, this time, Nurmagomedov couldn’t be at his side. Nevertheless, that didn’t stop him from giving his protégé a piece of advice.

Nurmagomedov posted an Instagram story and warned Makhachev. The former champion wrote, “93 days until the fight. You can’t take your foot off the gas, just go ahead, Brother.” The message was clear indeed. The Dagestani star had to work hard in order to defend his title.
