The dates for UFC 287 were already out and now the venue also has been confirmed. Miami will be hosting the much-anticipated event. As the hype grows for the Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya rematch, fans will now be waiting for the big event in Miami. On the same night, Jorge Masvidal, too, is set to face Gilbert Burns.

Masvidal hails from Miami and fans are reacting to his homecoming of sorts. Fans are excited to see the seasoned Masvidal take on Burns in his hometown.

As soon as the confirmation of the venue came, fans started reacting to the post. The Instagram post has got more than 200k likes already. Fans expect a power-packed performance from Masvidal now when he fights in his city. Jorge Masvidal currently sits on a Pro-MMA record that reads 35 wins and 16 losses.

Fans react to Jorge Masvidal fighting in Miami

Fans were really excited to know that ‘The Gamebred’ will be in action in Miami at UFC 287.

A fan commented on Instagram, That’s fire Jorge first time fighting in Miami”.

Another fan had views on the Miami fight. He commented, “Jorge coming out to welcome to Dade county.”

All fans, however, were not of the same opinion. A fan said, “Another day another Masvidal loss”. He looked disappointed in ‘Gamebred’.

Another fan said, “Masvidal is about to lose in his city again” Fans have not liked Masvidal‘s losing in the recent past.

A fan wrote, “Poor Masvidal”.

There were other fans who welcomed Masvidal. The user commented, “That’s great news for locals Jorge and Durinho!!”

 A few fans were also looking for Colby Covington and were disappointed that he won’t be seen in Miami. The comment read, “Why isn’t Colby fighting in his hometown? I thought the was the “king of Miami”.”

UFC 287 is going to be a cracker

Jorge Masvidal fighting in Miami won’t be the only highlight for UFC 287. Israel Adesanya against Alex Pereira will be a highly anticipated card in itself. Gilbert Burns‘s challenge to Masvidal will also attract fans. UFC 287 is scheduled to take place on the 9th of April,2023.
