For a while now, it has been rumored that UFC bantamweight legend Dominick Cruz will take on fellow bantamweight contender Marlon Vera. However, there has not been any official announcement from the UFC yet. Although, MMA journalist Ariel Helwani said the fight between Cruz and Vera will take place in Boston. White said, “In Boston? No. No. How would Ariel Helwani know?… That’s hilarious.” When asked if the UFC was working on a potential fight between Cruz and Vera, White answered, “Chito Cruz is definitely being worked on.”

White was further asked if the fight between Cruz and Vera would serve as a title eliminator. Reacting to it, White said, “I don’t know. I don’t know. We will have to see how that fight plays out. But obviously, you know, you got Yan, you got Dillashaw, you got Jose Aldo, you know the ranked number 3 in the world. Yeah, that’s a nasty little division right now, man.”
