UFC President Dana White and fighter Henry Cejudo have been having disagreements lately. Cejudo retired as a champion but now wants to get back in the octagon and fight. He is ready to dominate the featherweight division. However, he has not been given the opportunity yet. Further, White does not seem eager to see the fighter back in the ring and has been quite dismissive about Cejudo’s comeback.

Many have been comparing Cejudo’s return to that of Georges St-Pierre and Conor McGregor. Both made the decision to retire but eventually came back. However, ‘The Messenger’ is not getting the same option. As a result, he has called out McGregor and featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.

However, it looks like White didn’t like the fighter’s approach of trying to return to the promotion. Jed I. Goodman shared a few Tweets quoting White. Reportedly, White would have preferred if Cejudo took a better approach instead of calling out other fighters.

According to Jed I. Goodman, Dana White said, “Like, you want the Volkanovski fight, what you don’t do is…I mean you could, you could go online and start talking to Volkanovski and calling him names and doing all this stuff.”

“But what you’d really have to do is like pick up the phone and call & say ‘Hey, what’s the procedure I need to follow to get back into a fight? I want to unretire & when can I get back into the USADA pool? How fast? And what do I need to do?’ That’s how you get a fight.”

So it looks like ‘Triple C’ will have greater luck if he tries a different way of returning instead of calling out fighters online.

What is Henry Cejudo up to?

The fighter surely wants to get back inside the octagon soon. Hence, he has been targeting whomever he can.

However, he is also working with Jon Jones currently and is coaching him for his return as a heavyweight. He also helped Zhang Weili to train for UFC 268. Therefore, Cejudo is doing great as a coach.
