UFC Paris – the first ever event in Paris for the promotion – saw some outstanding performances throughout the night. A featured middleweight contest on the main card had a chaotic finish that saw Roman Kopylov get his hand raised as he found a late finish with a beautiful combo.

After dropping two straight fights, this win would have boosted the confidence of the Russian fighter. On the other, the Italian athlete (Alessio Di Chirico) dropped his second straight contest inside the Octagon.

Both combatants were evenly matched, and the contest showed the same. With both athletes gaining and losing momentum in the three-round fight, the competitive bout saw a definitive end at 1:09 in the third.

The first-ever main card bout in Paris delivered

Earlier in the night, the first bout of the first-ever main card in France saw two promising featherweight prospects squaring off against each other. Nathaniel Wood and Charles Jourdain put on a show for the crowd in attendance at the Accor Arena and fans around the world.

The British fighter looked comfortable in the featherweight division (last win, also at featherweight against Charles Rosa) as he fought a longtime 145 lbs athlete in Jourdain. Wood rocked ‘Air’ in the first round. Besides, he also took him down early in the fight.

Jourdain, coming off a majority loss against ex-UFC fighter Shane Burgos, fought valiantly and stayed in the contest, despite getting hurt multiple times.
