Sean O’Malley aspired to be like Conor McGregor

In episode #218 of the Timbo Sugar Show, Tim Welch hinted that most of the UFC fighters have struggled with financial problems. Especially when a fighter has to take care of his family, but fighting is probably the sole income. He revealed how difficult it was for the fighters to go on with an annual income of around $24,000, which was without payment to the managers and medications, et cetera.

In response to Welch’s words, ‘Sugar’ said, “That’s what I wanted. And it was funny because I watched Conor blow up and that’s kind of like what I wanted. I wanted to come and take over the sport. And then Conor did it.”

‘Sugar’ does his best to follow his notorious idol

The former double champion owns not only one but a handful of businesses to his name. Beginning from his pubs, and roaming through his clothing brand, McGregor has found himself to be successful in his business ventures, as much as he found success in the Octagon. Furthermore, the profits from Proper No. Twelve were indeed skyrocketing.

Following McGregor’s trends, O’Malley declared that he would launch a marijuana business, believing a huge potential to reach a worth of about $100 million in the venture. He said, “I think that’s gonna be similar to the whiskey, Conor’s whiskey. I think that could be my f**king-my $100 million business.”
