GSP had caught him in a Kimura but Hardy escaped and the fight was only decided by the judges. He left UFC in 2021 on not-so-cordial terms. In a recent interview with Petesy Carroll on Ariel Helwani YouTube channel, Hardy made some scathing remarks about his former organization and its president, Dana White.

Dan Hardy was last seen cornering his wife, Veronica Macedo, in her victory over Juliana Miller. She won by the judge’s decision. Dan Hardy was answering to questions about his experience from the fight when he expressed what he felt about the UFC and the leadership of Dana White.

Dan Hardy reveals why he walked away from the UFC

Talking to Petesy Carroll, Hardy seemed very disappointed with the way things were going in the UFC. He didn’t even shy away from naming UFC president Dana White as the reason for the problems with the UFC.

Hardy said, I spoke to people I used to work with the more I realized I just don’t belong there any more you know I don’t know as I ever did I did as best a job as I could but I don’t know I’m just the company’s been rotting from the inside for a long while and now the Rock’s starting to show on the outside and I couldn’t have abided power slapper anyway and I only I’m only interested in the USD for Veronica’s State now I’ll go there and I’ll Conor and Coach.

Talking about how he thought Dana White affected the UFC, Hardy said,Dana’s at the helm because I just feel like he’s going to do more damage you know than anything”.

It’s worth noting that Hardy had worked as a UFC commentator too but had to leave after some arguments.

Hardy got in an argument with Herb Dean

This is not the first time Dan Hardy has shown his disagreement with the way things are run in the UFC. In 2021 Dan Hardy was a UFC commentator when he got into an argument with referee Herb Dean over a late stoppage.

Dana White had not punished Hardy for the incident but said such things will not be tolerated. Hardy was again reported to be involved in an argument with a female UFC employee.

Following the incident, Hardy was released by the UFC. The reasons behind the release were never disclosed.Whatever happens to his career path going in the future, what’s established is that Dan Hardy doesn’t shy away from expressing his views.
