Cyril Gane is one of the most technical heavyweight fighters to ever step foot in the octagon. He is a well-rounded fighter with extremely intricate striking and incredible footwork and wrestling. Gane made his way up to the top of the heavyweight division with ease and has been unbeaten in his run in the UFC. As of 21st January 2022, Gane ranks 15th in the UFC men’s pound for pound category.

Gane is the reigning UFC interim heavyweight champion. He will look to unify his prestigious title this weekend against his former teammate and current champion, Francis Ngannou. Ngannou and Gane go back a long way. Both of them were teammates and good friends when they used to train at the MMA Factory in Paris. However, things have gotten bitter since Ngannou left the gym.

Recently, Gane appeared in an interview on Just Scrap Radio and discussed his upcoming bout. Gane said that he believes Jon Jones would be a good match for him if he beats Ngannou at UFC 270.

Gane added, “he’s well-rounded and wants to jump in my division and I’m well-rounded, too. This is a good matchup for the fans. Already, the people are talking about it. If tomorrow I win against Francis, this is the way.”

Jones will be returning to the UFC as a heavyweight fighter after a two-year hiatus. He’ll be paying close attention to the upcoming fight, since he’ll most likely be next for either Ngannou or Gane.

The upcoming fight between Ngannou and Gane is one of the toughest fights to predict. Both heavyweights are extremely lethal and have terrific skills.

‘The Predator’ has the hardest punch in the promotion and undoubtedly has the skills to finish Gane with a single punch. However, Gane is slick with his footwork and takedowns and is far better than Ngannou on the ground.

Gane also seems to have more stamina than the current champion, which gives him an edge if the fight goes the distance. Overall, ‘Bon Gamin’ seems to be more will round and will enter the octagon as the favorite. However, it is a very close pick, and the fight can go either way.
