Chael Sonnen is one of the most charismatic personalities that the UFC has ever seen. The former title contender has delivered some of the greatest trash talks during his MMA career. During his run as a professional fighter, Sonnen has gotten the better of some of the deadliest MMA fighters.

Some of these include Michael Bisping, Wanderlei Silva and Maurício Rua. Sonnen was also a coach in the UFC’s ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ series, which was a huge hit amongst fight fans and gained Sonnen a lot of popularity.

During the event of UFC 170 back in 2014, legendary actor Will Smith was photographed sitting and enjoying the event with Chael Sonnen. The UFC shared the photo via Twitter and fans couldn’t get enough of these two legends sharing their moment. Here are some of their reactions:-

One of the users wrote, “The Fresh Prince meets The American Gangster! Awesome, two cool cats!” He said this in reference to Sonnen’s nicknames, the American Gangster, and Will Smith’s role in the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Another user wrote,” I would cry if someone as awesome as Will Smith was a Sonnen fan…” During that time, Sonnen was arguably at his peak of popularity and was a fan favorite.

Chael Sonnen makes his case for Rose Namajunas getting an immediate rematch

The strawweight title bout between Rose Namajunas and Carla Esparza is probably one of the most critiqued fights of this year. Many slammed the match for being boring, including the commentary team at UFC 274.

In a recent episode of his show on his YouTube channel, Chael Sonnen explains why ‘Thug Rose’ won’t get an immediate rematch.

The former UFC fighter explained that Rose had some extremely dominant victories in her past two title wins which got her opponents an immediate rematch.
