Ever since Colby Covington lost against the welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in a title rematch, fans have been speculating a potential clash between him and the surging star Khamzat Chimaev.

The Chechen-born recently made headlines after his dominant win at UFC 267. He is undefeated in the UFC and this was his third first-round finish in a row. With this victory, ‘Borz’ broke into the top-15 and is ranked number 11 in the welterweight division of UFC.

However, ‘Chaos’ believes the Swedish fighter is yet to conquer more in the promotion to earn a fight against him. Also, the California native claimed to dominate ‘Borz’ and put an end to his hype if the fight ever came to fruition.

While talking to Submission Radio, Chaos said, “Honestly, guys, I don’t think they can sanction that fight legally yet. I think that there’s such a discrepancy in the rankings. And, the guy hasn’t even beat anybody in the top-10 yet. I have been in the top 10 for five years now. Beating champion after champion.”

“So I don’t even know if a commission would allow this fight to go through. But this fight, if the only way it would look, would be complete domination, Colby Covington and corporate just going out there and ending all that hype.”

“The same type of hype that all the clickbait journalists all the MMA media out there put on Street Judas Masvidal that same hype. They hype him up and then boom, it gets halted, and it gets halted in a very violent way. You don’t wanna hurt a kid’s career before even it gets started. You send him up here. He’s never gonna be the same person again.”
