During the 1990s Rogan started doing small gigs to earn his living. Although young Rogan wasn’t earning much, it was enough for him to keep momentum in his career. However, this didn’t stop him from spending an insane amount on a video game.

According to a post made by UberFacts, the near broke Joe Rogan spent a whopping $10,000 for a video game to run smoothly.

UberFacts wrote in the tweet, “In the 1990s, Joe Rogan paid $10,000 a month to have a T1 fiber optic internet connection installed in his house so he could play Quake without a lag.”

When not commenting on the UFC fights, Rogan hosts his own podcast show The Joe Rogan Experience on Spotify. Apparently, he makes ten times more per episode than what he spent on the game in the 1990s.

On the podcast, Rogan invites notable personalities from around the globe. His famous guest includes Mike Tyson, Elon Musk, and Bill Burr. With them, Rogan talks about a variety of topics, including space, science, medicine, entertainment, and more.

Rogan’s podcast is among the highest listened to podcasts in the world and also has a huge fan base. This has earned him a fortune. Recently, the 54-year-old signed an exclusive $200 million deal with Spotify.

And according to the reports, Rogan earns a whopping $1,00,000 per episode. Chiefly, he does four to five episodes per week. This roughly puts his weekly earnings at about $500k, which is 50 times what he spent in the game in the 1990s.
