Jon Jones and his return to the Octagon after almost three years have been hyped up by the netizens. Moreover, the fighter previously teased the UFC world of his debut in the heavyweight category to fight against Francis Ngannou. With the release of the Cameroonian warrior, ‘Bones’ is now pitted against the French fighter, Ciryl Gane. However, Jones’ belief in himself has always soared sky-high. He told MMA Underground about his confidence in himself. Furthermore, he claimed that he was even chosen by God.
Without a doubt, the netizens did not receive the words as the fighter intended. The mixed martial arts fans slammed the former light heavyweight champion as he revealed his confidence for his heavyweight debut fight.

While the world was thinking that Jones would probably fight only one match and then retire, the fighter seemingly provided the fans with a ray of hope. He revealed that he would entertain the fans with at least two more fights in the heavyweight category. Nonetheless, Jones kept his promise and is going to show the world what he can do in the heavyweights.
Fans react to Jon Jones’ confidence
Prior to his fight against Gane, ‘Bones’ told the media that he believed he was chosen by God to be an undefeated warrior. He said, “I really believe in my whole heart that I was chosen by God himself to be an undefeated fighter. … I don’t believe that I was designed to lose. I may have close fights, but I truly don’t believe it’s possible for me to lose.”
The quotes found their way to social media platforms and, undeniably, the MMA fans took over the comments section. Although Jones has a massive fan following, it was surprising to see that most of the fans stood against his beliefs. The fans, in fact, thought the words were simply a form of a joke. Furthermore, they slammed the fighter’s ego in the comments.

Jon Jones promised two more fights
The former UFC champion recently revealed his plans for the Octagon. In an interview with John Morgan, Jones promised the fans that they would get at least two more fights out of him. Moreover, he named the fighter, who would probably fight him after Gane. And it was none other than Stipe Miocic.

Jones said, “My immediate goal is to beat Ciryl Gane, and, uh, and Stipe Miocic. After that, it would just be conversations with the UFC to see what makes sense. But, I’m guaranteeing, I’m guaranteeing the fans at least two more fights out of me.”
