At the beginning of the bout, Curtis Blaydes started countering the aggressive British athlete. However, it wasn’t his counters but a freak injury that put away the rising contender.
During one exchange, Aspinall abruptly fell to the ground, though there wasn’t any significant strike thrown by his American counterpart. While reviewing the tape, it appeared that the heavyweight fighter pop his knee.
Blaydes won the fight, but it wasn’t in the most convincing way. Nevertheless, the 31-year-old registered a win on the official result.
The chaotic few seconds of the bout had the fans and UFC analysts reviewing the bout with their unique takes.
