Australian heavyweight fighter Tai Tuivasa walked out at UFC 271 to Cyndi Lauper’s “girls just wanna have fun.” Recently, UFC analyst Ariel Helwani shared the wholesome reason behind why Tuivasa chooses to walk out with such fun songs.

On Sunday, at UFC 271, ‘BamBam’ Tuivasa knocked out the knockout king of the UFC, Derrick Lewis. This feat of the Australian left the fans amazed and wanting to know more about the warrior from western Sydney. Meanwhile, longtime MMA journalist Ariel Helwani came to the rescue and shared a significant detail about Tuivasa’s choice.

“Tai Tuivasa coming out to Cyndi Lauper’s “girls just wanna have fun. What a guy. He says he comes out to this kinda fun music because it reminds him of riding around with his mom as a youngster.”

Helwani interviewed ‘BamBam’ not long ago, where both of them talked about their personal lives and future ambitions. Tuivasa. who is known for his playful and self-ridiculing attitude and most importantly, the ‘Shoey’ has been walking out to similar songs in the past.

In his last 5 bouts, he walked out to Dreams by Gabrielle, You’re Still the One by Shania Twain, Wannabe by the Spice Girls, Barbie Girl by Aqua, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper, respectively.

Now, Tuivasa is dubbed to have entered the top 5 of the heavyweight roster and speculations about his next opponents are being made.

Tai Tuivasa had no one to call out after UFC 271

Tuivasa left his fans in confusion, as he was unable to call out any of the top heavyweights in the UFC. Although he mentioned Ciryl Gane and Stipe Miocic, he didn’t specifically call them out.

“To be honest, I don’t even know who the f**k is in the top 5. I don’t even watch fighting bro. Like I said, I heard there’s the Stipe’s and the Ciryl Gane’s and all that everyone up there but this is my job. I rock up, I prepare with my team and we f***ing punch on.”
