The coaches for the season are not yet decided, but many think it will be Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal was scheduled to fight at UFC 269 but pulled out because of an undisclosed injury. ‘Chaos’ and ‘Gamebred’ are long-time rivals, who used to be roommates. There is animosity between the two and would make for an interesting season for sure.

The Ultimate Fighter was started in 2005 and helped the UFC to grow to new heights. It was one of the main reasons the promotion could come out of losses and become the huge brand it is now. Some of the biggest MMA stars have come from The Ultimate Fighter. The finale of the first season between Forrest Griffin and Stephan Bonnar will forever be the fight that changed UFC’s fortunes.

The biggest stars to come out from The Ultimate Fighter

The Ultimate Fighter is Dana White’s brainchild. Starting in 2005, it has helped produce some of the most talented fighters ever seen in MMA. Dominant UFC champions, fan favorites, and other stars have graduated from the show. One of the most successful stories is that of the current UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman. He is undefeated in the UFC and has been dominant ever since he got a contract. He has now defended his title five times as well.

One of the most graduates of the show is Nate Diaz. Stockton’s own won season 5 of The Ultimate Fighter. Since then, his no-nonsense, not backing down from a fight attitude has helped him become a fan favorite. However, he is now at the end of his UFC contract, and might not renew it.

Tony Ferguson has to be one of the best talents to come through TUF. He is the former interim UFC lightweight champion, and at one point was on a 12-fight win streak. He won TUF 13 and is one of the best lightweights of this era.

These are just some names to come through the show. TJ Dillashaw, Rashad Evans, Michael Bisping, and many more are also a product of TUF.

UFC would hope that some new world-class talents appear during this season as well.
