However, most viewers do not understand how it feels to get knocked out. UFC color commentator Joe Rogan explains his experience of getting knocked out in a recent episode of his million-dollar podcast, the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’.
MMA fighters suffer more damage from knockouts compared to boxers. It is particularly due to the difference in the gloves they wear during bouts. However, there is nothing unpleasant about going to sleep after getting hit. Let us see what Joe Rogan had to say about it.

Joe Rogan talks about getting hit on the chin
Although the 55-year-old never fought as a professional MMA fighter, he has had his fair share of experiences of getting knocked out. Rogan was once caught with a left hook during a fight on his chin. The punch took him down and his legs stopped working. He said, “The most shocking [thing] to me was when I’ll get hit on the chin because one time I got dropped, I got hit on the chin with a left hook, and my legs, they just shut off.” It was one of his most shocking experiences ever.
Rogan mentions that he didn’t feel like he was hurt, but his legs stopped working and he had no idea what was going on. He added, “It wasn’t like I got hurt… they just went, ‘Shut off. Your legs are shut off,’ and I was like, ‘Jesus Christ, what the f*** was that?'”
Moreover, the JRE host claimed that he felt as if his body totally malfunctioned as a result of the left hook. “They just stopped working. It was like my whole system got short-circuited,” he added.
Joe Rogan reveals what happens after getting hit with a body kick
While getting hit on the chin wasn’t a pleasant experience, Joe Rogan claims the experience is similar when getting hit in the body with a kick. While watching a clip of one of his Taekwondo kicks which went viral on social media, he mentioned that it is the worst feeling in the world. Rogan said, “You get kicked in the body like that, it’s the worst feeling in the world.”
Furthermore, the 55-year-old mentioned the process that follows when getting hit with a body kick. It makes a person immobile and it feels as if electricity was running through the body. He added, “Everything shuts down. You can’t move. Electrocution goes through your body.” Just like when getting hit on the chin renders the leg useless, a similar thing happens with body kicks.

“Just the thump, the compression of your organs, you’re whole body going into shock, the who spinal column getting jolted [and] the legs don’t work anymore,” said Joe Rogan.
