Israel Adesanya took over the internet when he finally defeated his rival, Alex Pereira, at UFC 287. However, the fans not only had praise for the Nigerian warrior’s fighting skills, but also for the time when he supported PSG star Achraf Hakimi after he escaped from possible financial distress following a divorce.

Recently, Sean O’Malley shed some light on Adesanya’s ex-girlfriend, Charlotte Powdrell, who apparently demanded half of his fortune after their break-up. Without a doubt, ‘Sugar’ had a lot to say about it. Nevertheless, he wasn’t shy about standing beside a fellow fighter. O’Malley said that it was simply crazy to ask for half of the fortune that the man had earned with his hard work. Furthermore, he talked about when compensation would be okay, but he strictly disagreed with the idea of giving away half of a man’s life earnings.

Sean O’Malley stands in support of Israel Adesanya

In the recent episode of BrO’Malley Show, O’Malley talked about how Powdrell allegedly demanded half of his wealth. Although he admitted that he was oblivious to the fact that Adesanya was in a relationship till the chats were leaked, he found the demands to be crazy.

‘Sugar’ said, “I had seen Izzy tweet something, I was confused because I really didn’t know. But, Izzy’s ex-girlfriend- so not married, right, they were not married, I believe- wants half of his sh*t. I don’t know how their relationship was ever because I didn’t even know he had a girlfriend or anything, but to want half of his sh*t, to want half of what he’s going out there and do, done, is absolutely ridiculous. Be happy. Izzy gave her a thousand bucks. Like, she’ll be alright. But yeah, that’s crazy to want half.”

Moreover, O’Malley believed that if the two were together for around 15 years, with the woman doing everything for the fighter, even then half of the wealth would be too much. He believed that compensation was fine in such cases. Finally, he opined, “you could be in love, but the second something happens, them b***hes get crazy…”
