“There Are So Many Different Storylines Going Into This Fight” – Daniel Cormier Reveals the Fight He Is Looking Forward to the Most in 2022

Early 2022 is already packed with some incredible fights. In a recent episode of Daniel Cormier’s YouTube channel, the UFC commentator and his guests reflected on events that took place in 2021. They also further discussed which upcoming fights they were excited about.

Daniel Cormier revealed he is waiting for the heavyweight title bout to happen in January next year. ‘DC’ himself has been a heavyweight champion at the promotion. Hence, it is expected that he would be interested in the heavyweight fight.

The double champ said, “For me, it’ll be the next time I see you on pay-per-view when Francis Ngannou fights Ciryl Gane. Oh my goodness! That is a massive fight, heavyweight championship fight, and listen, nothing better than heavyweight title fights. And when you have two guys like these two fighting for the championship at UFC 270 in Anaheim.”

Interestingly, Daniel Cormier revealed that he absolutely dislikes Anaheim. He said that he lost two championship fights there and hence, dislikes the city.

However, he is ready to keep that aside because he will call fights at UFC 270.

Further, there are several more reasons for Cormier’s interest in this bout. He stated, “The plot’s great, right? The teammates, Francis on the last fight of his contract, not happy with the UFC. There are so many different storylines going into this fight. It’s going to be a fantastic event.”

Even though Daniel Cormier dislikes Anaheim city, he will be there to add to the event’s atmosphere.
