UFC lightweight star Bobby Green had a disappointing night at the office this past weekend. Green faced fellow lightweight Jared Goron on the main card of UFC Vegas 71. However, their bout came to an unfortunate conclusion after an accidental headbutt.

Green, who initially thought he had won the contest, was rightfully disappointed with the referee’s ruling. It also cost him a substantial amount from what would have been his win money. To add insult to injury, Green also had to listen to Gordon’s teammate and commentator Paul Felder’s reaction to the events in the cage.

Suffice it to say, ‘King’ did not appreciate how invested Felder was in Gordon’s case when he’s supposed to be an impartial entity on the desk. The 36-year-old addressed Felder’s emotional reaction to the headbutt during a recent appearance on ‘The MMA Hour’ and did not mince words.

Now, Felder has come forward with his own response to Green’s comments.

Paul Felder responds to Bobby Green

Speaking of Paul Felder, Bobby Green said, “When we see each other, he knows what time it is too. We’re going to have some words when I see him. I’m going to wait to see him face-to-face.”

He further added that Felder was getting too emotional and had told him to calm down. He said, “Secondly, it sounded like he was d*ck riding because that’s his homie. He live with that dude and sh*t, but bro don’t d*ck ride. Keep that s*t straight up.”

‘The Irish Dragon’ took to Twitter to respond to the fiery comments from Green. Responding to a clip of Green from the show, he wrote, “Look forward too it king.”

In another tweet, he wrote, I understand the criticism. I got emotional. It was a friend. But it was also a pretty awful clash of heads that almost resulted in a TKO.I respect green as a fighter. I do apologize for letting my emotions into play, but there is no need for threatsYou don’t have to like me.”

This is not the first time fighters have had issues with commentators. Felder’s on-desk colleagues like Daniel Cormier have also faced criticism for being biased before.

Green is on a two-fight losing skid and the no-contest against Gordon did not help his case. However, was his response to Felder’s reaction appropriate? And will Paul’s response be enough to clear the air between the two?
