“There’s Always Ways to Beat These Guys” – Leon Edwards Knocks Out Khamzat Chimaev Hype Train With His Verbal Attack
Leon Edwards is on a winning streak for quite a few months now. The dedication and impact he has portrayed are not a joke. The English fighter has an impeccable MMA record of winning 20 out of his total 24 fights. Edwards is enjoying a successful career, especially with the possession of the UFC Welterweight title. The fighter won the title all the way back in August 2022 by defeating Kamaru Usman. The UFC 278 fight ended with Usman being knocked out by Edwards’s iconic head kick. ‘Rocky’ recently called out the Chechen beast Khamzat Chimaev. He ranted about how, according to him, Chimaev is over-hyped and needs to be turned down a notch.
Is Leon Edwards threatening Khamzat Chimaev?
Leon Edwards opened up about his views regarding the Chechen fighter. While Chimaev has become a huge name among UFC fans, Edwards grounded the euphoria in just one sentence. The 31-year-old fighter in an interview with Michael Bisping said, “He’s a good fighter, but I don’t think he’s what the UFC was building him to be. Like this untouchable monster.”

According to Edwards, he respects Chimaev. The only problem he has is with the way the UFC fans surround him. “He’s a solid fighter. He’s good, but there’s always ways to beat these guys. This is why I’m on an 11-fight win streak,” said ‘Rocky’.
The champion also established that he knows his way around a fight and knows what he’s doing in the octagon. Edwards firmly mentioned that whenever he steps into the cage, he gives his best.
When can we see Edwards fighting Chimaev?
