Joe Rogan once again pointed out the weight-cutting battle that MMA fighters have to go through. Most fighters in the UFC and other promotions go through this grueling process. It has become somewhat of a necessary evil for some, as fighters rarely want to give an edge to their opponent before the fight.
Often talked about as ‘the real battle before the actual fight’, weight cutting has seen fighters often getting in uncomfortable situations on the scale ahead of their bouts. Though the introduction of new methods has made it an easier process for many. Yet it still remains a big issue across the board.

On JRE MMA Show #126 with UFC middleweight & light heavyweight standout Eryk Anders, Rogan talked about what’s going around in combat sports and other popular things around the world. But considering Anders fought at both 185 lbs and 205 lbs, he asked him, “What would you think if they eliminated weight cutting?”

Rogan then showed his frustration and said, “Because there’s been talk about that; mostly from me. I just, I think it’s just…”
The longtime UFC commentator added, “I mean, everyone’s doing it. But what it is essentially is like sanction cheating.”
Rogan asked his guest, “You’re pretending, you’re 185 lbs. You’re 185 for what, an hour?”
