The UFC president, Dana White, is notorious for paying his fighters less. Over the years, the MMA promotion has grown into a multi-billion-dollar empire, and now the UFC is the world’s biggest MMA promotion. However, when it comes to a fighter’s pay, the promotion has a bad reputation. Recently, Jorge Masvidal has come forward to explain how he’s changing the lives of fighters by paying them well. He went on to compare the fighter’s earnings at the UFC to the amount he was paying at Gamebred Promotions.
A few months ago, Masvidal’s promotion made a lot of headlines after a successful pay-per-view event that paid the fighters a six-figure sum. The enormous amount earned by the fighters in Gamebred Boxing 4 resulted in fans raising their eyebrows against the UFC. Many believe that the tragic reality of the UFC is that it could never pay well to the fighters who traded their lives inside the octagon. Nonetheless, the retired UFC fighter is here to change the lives of the fighters, but how exactly is Masvidal doing that?

Jorge Masvidal pays more than UFC
Recently Jorge Masvidal sat with TMZ Sports. During the chat, he compared the fighter’s pay in his promotion with that of UFC. ‘Gamebred’ said, “There’s billions of dollars coming in this industry a year, you know. There’s enough for everybody to eat and anyways, more than that I’m giving away for these fighters to make good money, not just like great money.“
He further detailed how the money that he is paying is helping the fighters, “A lot of these guys are making life-changing money they went from getting a thousand and a thousand all of a sudden getting five thousand and five thousand and they are not in UFC. So their life right there changes for me.” According to ‘Gamebred’ he is making sure that he is paying his fighters well, unlike UFC.

‘Gamebred’ speaks for increased fighters’ pay
A few weeks ago, Jorge Masvidal spoke about how the UFC has done so much good for him. He mentioned that the UFC boss, Dana White, has helped him a lot to grow as a popular MMA fighter. However, he didn’t stop himself from talking about the importance of increased pay for the fighters. He said, “More money for the fighters because it’s a f**king tough job. You shouldn’t be in the top ten having to f**king work at Walmart or something.“

‘Gamebred’ mentioned that fighters in the top fifteen should earn enough money from their fights. He reinforced that even if there are no sponsors, a fighter should be able to their his bills. The Miami native despises the fact that some top fighters are forced to take up some side gigs to pay their bills.
