Julianna Peña defeating Amanda Nunes at UFC 269 was one of the biggest upsets. UFC fighters, analysts, and fans alike were all shocked to see her forcing Nunes into submission. As a result, people want to see them clash again. It would indeed be interesting to see a second bout as both the fighters would have a lot on the line.
Peña recently appeared on ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. Both discussed several aspects of Peña’s MMA career. Hence, they also spoke about her fight against Nunes. According to the fighter, she still has people who think that her win was just a ‘fluke’. Thus, she is motivated to shut them down by fighting Nunes again.

‘The Venezuelan Vixen’ said, “There’s still naysayers out there. There are still people that think it was a fluke. There’s still people that are harassing me, there’s still people like that are being like ‘she’s going to kill you’. They are like ’10 seconds and you are dead’, you know?”

“I would love nothing more than to put the naysayers to bed for one last time,” she added.
UFC President Dana White is also interested in making a rematch happen. Further, many people think that ‘The Lioness’ would come back much stronger and defeat Julianna Peña. Thus, another bout would be a good opportunity for both fighters to prove themselves.

What’s next for Julianna Peña?
Currently, it looks like a fight against Amanda Nunes will happen once again. Their second fight will be an important factor in deciding which fighter deserves to be the champion.
