UFC star Khamzat Chimaev is going ballistic on everyone. In a recent video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Chimaev discussed his inactivity, future plans, and upcoming fight. The 29-year-old also talked about fighting for titles and had some harsh words for UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

Having fought at both welterweight and middleweight, Chimaev has his eyes set on top stars from both divisions. The Chechen has had his eyes on Adesanya for a long time but has never been in any serious title fight talks. Further, Chimaev has a much more respectable resume as a welterweight, having beaten top contenders like Gilbert Burns.

The most recent rumors have him fighting the former 170 lbs champion Kamaru Usman. Hence, Chimaev is once again closer to a welterweight title fight than a middleweight showdown against ‘Stylebender.’ But that does not stop ‘Borz’ from sending a few shots his way. During a recent interview, Chimaev had some no holds barred comments about ‘Izzy.’ ‘Borz’ also made some bold claims about his own star power while trying to talk smack against Adesanya.

What did Khamzat Chimaev say about Israel Adesanya?

Khamzat Chimaev went after Israel Adesanya pretty hard in his recent YouTube video. ‘Borz’ claimed that the UFC did not want to kill off a cash cow and was hiding him from Chimaev. He also claimed that he would make short work of Adesanya and would take his mantle as another big draw for the promotion.

‘The Wolf said, “For Israel [Adesanya] there’s nobody there. Only me. So, if you spoke about money, if you ask the fans, they want to see me and Israel [Adesanya] and yeah, I’m a bad matchup for him. Everyone knows he’s gonna lose the title. That’s why they save that guy.”

He continued, “You know they built up him. They don’t want to lose him like that fast. Finish that guy without punches and that’s why they’re scared. Then story’s dead, you know? They doesn’t want to kill that guy. The guy makes money for them. But I still make money as well. So I don’t know what’s going on.”

After pushing for a fight against Kamaru Usman and taking several digs at him, Chimaev has shifted his attention toward ‘Izzy’. What do you make of Chimaev’s words? Do you think he’s a tough challenge for Adesanya?
