Moreover, having been in the UFC for decades, the controversial commentator has a host of experience seeing fights and fighters up close. Furthermore, Rogan spoke about one of MMA’s ‘GOATs’ in his podcast and cited some of the reasons why Khabib Nurmagomedov is such a dominant. Furthermore, he explained why religion plays an important part in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s life and enlisted some benefits of being devoted.

Joe Rogan cites Khabib Nurmagomedov’s reason for dominance in MMA

Joe Rogan explained on JRE 1923 2/ Mike Baker why the Dagestani fighters are performing so well. He cited being religious as the reason why they are disciplined and hence dominant. He said, “They don’t have the distractions that a lot of these guys do. They are not partying.”

Furthermore, he added, “Like the guys that are from Khabib Nurmagomedov’s camp are some of the most dominant fighters. They wear their hair all exactly the same way. They practice. All they care about is family, religion, training. They don’t chase girls, they don’t drink. They are just training constantly like insanely dedicated to their craft. And they are the most dominant.”

Mike Baker further asked why poverty or other factors can also play a role in these fighters. The podcaster answered, “Sure.”

However, he also said, “But even when they do have much, like Khabib is very wealthy. And drives a Toyota truck. I mean he lives in the same house. He is very devoted in his beliefs and the way he is raising other fighters. And he just got out. I think he just decided to retire completely from mixed martial arts coaching and everything. Very religious…” The podcaster had very high words for Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The controversial UFC commentator explained his opinion on why religion is important for some people. He explained, “I think there is some sort of a benefit to having structure and there is benefit to having purpose. There is benefit to having rituals and things that everyone does together… There is a bonding that comes with that… It can’t be denied.”
