There have been a number of cornermen who have been seen spilling advice to their fighters on TV. Some were serious, and some were rather funny. Not so long ago, former UFC star Sam Alvey shared took to social media and shared a video snippet from fellow former UFC fighter Chris De La Rocha‘s fight against Rashad Coulter. The latter received some golden advice from his corner man. It resulted in a hilarious reaction from UFC Commentator Joe Rogan. The UFC fans have reacted to it on Instagram.

One of the most entertaining and insightful phases during a UFC fight is the time between rounds. The coaches and teammates of a fighter get inside the octagon to share some valuable advice. Some suggestions and words of motivation go on to create some of the best memorable moments. It was evident with Leon Edwards, whose coach’s words propelled him to earn a monumental head-kick knockout at UFC 287 against Kamaru Usman.

‘Daywalker’ Coulter fought in the light heavyweight division during his time in the UFC. Moreover, he is still active at the age of 41. But the instance in question here is from his fight against fellow ex-UFC fighter, Chris De La Rocha. ‘Daywalker’ sat down in the corner after the end of the first round. It prompted his coach to give him a straightforward talk about what tactics he should apply. His coach said, “Listen to me. You’re getting into a slugfest. You’re not going to knock him out.”

Coulter‘s coach recognized how big Chris De La Rocha was and advised him not to go down the knockout route. His coach added, “He’s a big old Mexican with a big old head.” This became one of the most hilarious moments ever in the UFC. Even UFC color commentator Joe Rogan claimed it to be the funniest advice he’s ever heard. Let us see what the fans had to say about that.

The fans were amused to hear Coulter‘s coach using a straightforward approach and telling him the reality of the situation. They agreed with what was said about the Mexican fighters. It may not have sounded right, but it was a compliment to them. The fans also noticed Joe Rogan bursting out laughing in the background, which prompted the UFC to cut the announcer’s microphones.

It is refreshing to witness such moments of hilarity in a rather serious environment. It makes for great television and never ceases to entertain fans across the globe.
