Jorge Masvidal was recently featured on an episode of The Kim Congdon Takeover podcast. During his conversation with the host Kim Congdon, he made some revealing statements about his early fighting days. Around 17 minutes into the discussion, Congdon brought up the infamous cold plunge therapy that’s becoming a norm for fighters and athletes alike. Congdon kicked off the conversation, jokingly asking ‘Gamebred,’ “Are you gonna do the ice bath [challenge]?”

Masvidal responded with a question of his own, “Are you gonna do the ice bath?” The exchange continued, with ‘Gamebred’ pointing out an intriguing aspect of cold plunges – calorie burning. He emphasized, “[You can] burn a ton of calories…”

Intrigued by the potential calorie-burning benefits, Congdon asked, “Really? What else can I do to burn calories?”

‘Gamebred,’ drawing from his experience, delved into the intricacies of weight loss and a healthy lifestyle. What’s more – he offered valuable insights, stating, “But it needs to be healthy – because I could show you how to lose like five-six pounds – but it’s water [you’re losing]. As soon as you drink this [water] back – you’d put it on there.”
