“They Waited Outside the Women’s Restroom”: UFC Veteran Tim Kennedy Once Fake Kidnapped His Daughter to Make Her Tough

MMA fighters have a tough life. So do their families. Veteran UFC fighter, Tim Kennedy, recently revealed how he tried to toughen up his daughter by getting her kidnapped.
The retired fighter shared a picture of the men who kidnapped his daughter on Instagram and wrote, “Seven years ago today, these two thugs tried to kidnap my daughter from our MMA gym in Austin, Texas.”

“They waited outside of the women’s restroom and when she came out after changing to take her martial art class, they covered her mouth, scooped up her legs, and carried her out the back door….”
“I have the most brilliant and strong daughters on the planet. All three of them are going to be fierce citizens. I definitely did not make it easy on any of them.”

Kennedy even tagged the two men in the pictures: Tommy Shane Steiner and Aron Lofton. They happen to be his friends and even share several pictures with him on Instagram.

While the MMA fighter may have retired, he still trains regularly. In fact, the athlete regularly shares pictures and videos of himself indulging in various adventures and sports.
Tim Kennedy: His family
Tim Kennedy, who last fought in 2016, has been married to his long-term partner, Ginger Kennedy. The couple has three daughters and a son.
In a conversation with ‘The Dad Edge‘, Kennedy spoke about his experience with fatherhood. He talked about his experience with having kids and enjoying the highs and lows that come with it.

He discussed how different his teenagers were from his youngest child. Hence, he was of the opinion that one must enjoy even the moments that feel low when it comes to parenthood.
The former middleweight fighter has competed in a number of promotions like the UFC, Strikeforce, IFL, and WEC. He also served in the United States Army National Guard while simultaneously fighting professionally. Something which fighters don’t do very often.
Some of his biggest fights in MMA bouts have been against Kelvin Gastelum, Yoel Romero, Michael Bisping, and Luke Rockhold.
