Joe Rogan showed quite an interest in the ex-Hollywood couple, Amber Heard, and Johnny Depp’s infamous defamation trial, like the rest of the world. The millionaire podcast host followed the case closely. And now, after the verdict has come out, the UFC analyst gave his thoughts on it.

Speaking to hosts Andrew Schulz and other members of the Flagrant podcast, Rogan talked about a bunch of topics.

When the host asked Rogan about his thoughts on Johnny Depp’s win in the verdict, the 54-year-old said, “Well, I think it was probably good for all people who believe in the truth.”

Though, Rogan noted, “The problem is there’s like this, boys vs. girls narrative that I think we all get into on these things. You know, and there’s a lot of guys who wanted a guy to win one of these things.”

Thereafter, Rogan added, “Someone said that the verdict is bad for women. I’m like that’s crazy, That’s crazy.”

The UFC color commentator pointed out one can never know the entire truth, “You watch the trails, and you form your own opinions unless you’re there.”

Rogan also offered how he felt about both Hollywood stars recording each other, “they were both recording which is wild… That’s so wild.”

The defamation trial aired live for several weeks. The jury ruled that Ms. Heard defamed Mr. Depp.

Coming to Rogan’s world – MMA – recently the famed podcast host gave a few pointers to fix the judging criteria in the sport.

The longtime UFC analyst went deep about how the judging could be improved in MMA.

Rogan made a few points. He said, “You would give points for moments in fights where someone either did damage, or someone had control. But control is not worth as much as damage.”

The former Fear Factor host didn’t realize that the changes he was suggesting were already in place.

In 2016, the changed rule set offered ‘Damage’ as the ultimate criteria for judging an MMA bout. Control plays no part unless damage (effective striking/ grappling) is judged equal.
