Bo Nickal made a triumphant debut at UFC 285 after defeating Jamie Pickett via submission under three minutes of the first round. However, the 34-year-old took issue with a groin strike by the UFC prospect during their bout and decided to appeal it to the Nevada State Athletic Commission. However, the commission claimed to not have found any illegal groin strike by the debutante.

Several video clips of Nickal looking like landing an illegal groin strike have gained traction on social media. It prompted Pickett to appeal to the concerned authorities, but to no avail. As per his representative, ‘The Nightwolf’ isn’t sure if he is going to appeal to NSAC’s answer.

LaMont Chappell, Pickett‘s representative, also mentioned that he will decide on his move in the coming days. Moreover, the NSAC Executive Director has welcomed ‘The Nighwolf’ to appeal if he wants to. Many fans have reacted to this incident on social media.

Many fans were disappointed with the commission’s answer to the appeal and claimed that they clearly saw a groin strike during their fight. Some fans blasted the commission and called them blind. They even gave nicknames to Bo Nickal, calling him ‘Nutshot Nickal’. Some fans even joked that the NSAC may have seen the highlights of another fight.

Bo Nickal has denied any allegations of landing a low blow or a groin strike. He said that it was a perfect strike and stands by his statement. However, Jamie Picket has blamed the referee for not noticing the illegal knee strike. We will have to wait and see what follows until ‘The Nightwolf’ decides whether he will appeal to NSAC’s answer.
