Former GLORY middleweight and light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira made his UFC debut at UFC 268. The Brazilian’s first fight was against Andreas Michailidis and he made a light work of his opponent.
‘Po Atan’, after a grappling heavy first round, showed the world his devastating knockout power. At the start of the second round, the former two-division GLORY champion landed a flying knee which knocked out his opponent.

Pereira is famous for holding two wins against the current UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, in kickboxing.
In their last fight, he knocked ‘The Last Stylebender’ out cold to go 4-1 in his professional MMA career. With an impressive debut like that, he and the UFC would like to capitalize on it. This knockout had the MMA community talking about it.

Alex Pereira made an impressive UFC debut that impressed former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones. After the fight, ‘Bones’ tweeted, saying, “Things just got real interesting at middleweight.”

This reaction comes as no surprise as Jones and Adesanya are known to not like each other. Both were tipped to fight multiple times when ‘Bones’ was the light heavyweight champion. The duo has had a back-and-forth on Twitter as well multiple times. Adesanya was seen trolling Jones after his Vegas arrest fiasco.

Many people would be wanting a Pereira vs. Adesanya fight in the future, given their history. The Brazilian is currently 2-0 against ‘The Last Stylebender’ and would want a trilogy against him.
