2021 marked a glorious year for the UFC. Not only did they trump every year before it, but the premier promotion also witnessed some of the biggest fights in its history. The promotion sold over 8 million pay-per-views collectively in the calendar year after bouncing back from the dreaded pandemic. Much to the rejoice of Dana White, the head honcho of the biggest Mixed Martial Arts brand in the world.

In a recent interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the UFC President expressed his euphoria over his promotions performance in the previous year. Notably, White made some bold claims regarding the same. “It was the best year we ever had. We’re popping on every metric you can imagine. Sponsorship is through the roof. Social media, our numbers on pay-per-view, our numbers on television, arena records. This business is on fire.”
