” I went out and trained with Henry a couple of times, for a few weeks. And I got to pick his brain, you know. We get to spend a lot of time and hang out all the time, yeah. But times where we actually get to sit down and I get to pick his brain in the way that we did then, I don’t do it too many times; you know. I got to pick his brain; I got to learn from him and he got to show me how he structures his training, you know. However, that doesn’t mean the California native hasn’t got room to expand his skill set. Gastelum majorly relies on his crisp boxing skills and wrestling prowess to outwork his opponents. And although that has worked plenty of times for him, he does run into problems with rangier opponents like Darren Till and Israel Adesanya.
Even in his upcoming matchup, Gastelum is about to face a taller and stronger opponent in Cannonier.
