Chael Sonnen is one of the most unique personalities to ever grace the Octagon. ‘The American Gangster’ is lauded by fight fans for his heavy striking and ambiguous trash-talking capabilities. Sonnen also runs his own YouTube channel which boasts a whopping 1M+ subscribers. Recently, Sonnen uploaded a video where he talked about the heated altercation between Conor McGregor’s ex-teammate, Dillon Danis, and the noted YouTuber and rapper, KSI. The altercation finally evolved into an all-out brawl, which Sonnen addressed as a bad moment.

Danis and KSI confronted each other at the ‘Misfits Boxing’ promotion’s pre-fight weigh-in event. But things got violent soon as the two exchanged a few heated words. Dillon ended up smacking KSI’s face with the coffee in his hand. But, things didn’t end there.

Conor McGregor‘s ex-teammate, Danis was then escorted outside by his team and a few others after the initial scuffle. But Danis was followed and punched by Anthony Taylor, who is Jake Paul’s sparring partner and Danis’s former ‘Bellator’ colleague.

‘The American Gangster’ went on to describe the entire incident stating, “Dillon ends up outside. And now that the melee is going outside and there’s somebody else that’s coming after him and this guy isn’t Mr. Cowboy Hat[KSI]”.

Sonnen also described Taylor’s body as an “athletic wonder”. He said, “you can see his muscles coming through the sweats”. He further described how Taylor broke through a group of people protecting Danis and threw “a punch at Dillon”.

‘The American Gangster’ evidently liked the punch from Taylor as he iterated, “It was a good punch”. He also went on to say, “If you want to grade the punch, it was fast, it was accurate, he did it with a lot of distractions, it was hard, hell.”

Chael Sonnen appreciated Dillon Danis for absorbing the hard hit

Sonnen probably didn’t have an idea that Taylor was a professional boxer and also an ex-Bellator MMA fighter. He stated, “And the guy hit him harder than hell”. Sonnen himself had fought in the Bellator MMA. He probably knows how it feels to be on the receiving end of such a hard hit.

He also appreciated Danis’ stamina stating, “You wanna know if Dillon Danis has a good chin? Yeah, The answer’s yes”. Sonnen further stated, “This guy cracked him full speed on the chin, no glove on, no hands up no roll with it, and Dillon took it”. Further describing it as a “bad moment”.
