Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman’s beef is one of the recurring themes in the UFC. The former Interim UFC Welterweight Champion and current welterweight champion have closed twice in their pro MMA career.

Although both the fights were won by ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’, Colby claims judges cheated him for his victories. Since his debut in UFC back in 2014, he has learned from his only three losses and evolved into a better fighter. Consequently, ‘Chaos’ ranks No. 1  in the UFC welterweight rankings.

Recently, Colby sat down with Helen Yee for an interview. Both talked about topics like celebrating the holidays, Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley rematch, etc. During this conversation, Helen asked him to choose between a trilogy fight or the welterweight title.

To which Chaos selected the first option and shared, “There’s so much controversy from the first fight with the ref, so much controversy from the second fight with the judges and their opinion, so this trilogy needs to happen, man. We’re the two best fighters in the world. No one is gonna come close to being on our level, so we need to keep running this back.”

“This is a fight that should be a best-of-seven series, just like the NBA Championship. When you have the two best teams from each conference, we’re the two best from each conference and we need to fight seven times. I think that’ll really tell who is the best fighter in the world. I honestly think I’d beat him 5 to 2!”
