Khamzat Chimaev is one of the most popular fighters on the UFC roster today. It is not unusual to see other fighters replicate his fighting style. ‘Borz’ has garnered a lot of fans after becoming a star in the UFC with his dominant performances and fierce attitude. He has reached such a status in the MMA community that other fighters are starting to replicate his fighting style, his appearance, and even his nickname. While some may just look the same, others tend to pick up famous fighters’ monikers.

However, UFC fans lost their minds after a video clip went viral on social media where Chimaev’s lookalike, known as Khamzat Maaev, knocked out his opponent within 41 seconds.

Brave CF recently held their Brave CF 71 event, where Chimaev’s doppelgänger, Khamzat Maaev, took on a fighter named Elias Farah. Maaev appeared to be the dominant of the two fighters and registered an impressive knockout victory in just 41 seconds. Moreover, Chimaev’s lookalike proceeded to celebrate his win in the exact same manner as the UFC star, which left many people in shock.

Furthermore, both fighters come from the same region of Chechnya. Maaev shares a lot of similarities with the rising UFC star. Additionally, the Brave CF star later revealed that his intention is not only to share the name with Chimaev but also to carve a similar or even better career path. Fans react to Chimaev’s lookalike

Maaev’s video didn’t go unnoticed, as Khamzat Chimaev reacted to this post on Instagram with a laughing emoji. He clearly found this to be very amusing. However, the fans were left dumbfounded after witnessing the lookalike fighting and reacting in the exact same manner as the UFC star. Let’s take a look at what they had to say.

One fan made a hilarious comment, pointing out Chimaev’s lip scar, and claimed that the second version fixed that glitch. However, the fans believe that there are a lot of lookalikes in the sport which could prove to be detrimental. They recalled that the UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov also has a doppelgänger. Furthermore, the fans commented that Khamzat Chimaev has another lookalike by the name of Khamzat Abaev. There were some fans who noticed the KO finish by Maaev, claiming that he used an illegal move during the fight. The UFC now has a lot of fighters hailing from Russia, and the fans think they need to build a facility in Russia to accommodate these fighters.

Regardless of the uncanny resemblance he shares with Chimaev, Maeev has proved to be a very tough fighter. He has so far fought in three professional fights and registered finishes in every one of them. Maaev has two knockouts and one submission wins. We will have to wait and see if he really makes it to the UFC like his idol.
