Aljamain Sterling is gearing up to defend his bantamweight title against former champion Henry Cejudo at UFC 288. It will be his third title defense in the promotion. However, he has been active on social media and recently shared a few pictures on social media training with a couple of young fighters, including Raul Rosas Jr. Fans have shared their reaction to it.
Aljamain Sterling has not lost a fight since 2018. He captured the bantamweight title in 2021 and has garnered an 8-fight winning streak. He equaled the winning streak of his friend and fellow bantamweight fighter Merab Dvalishvili, whom he refuses to fight. But Sterling was recently seen fulfilling his promise to help train the young Rosas Jr.

Aljamain Sterling trains with Raul Rosas Jr.
‘Funkmaster’ recently shared a post on Instagram training with surging UFC prospect Raul Rosas Jr. and another young fighter as a sign of keeping his promise to the young Mexican-American fighter after he reached out to him on Twitter following the UFC 287 loss. He mentioned he would help the next generation of fights and here he is seen helping the youngsters get better at their craft. The bantamweight champion also posted a video of their training session on YouTube.
Rosas, keep your head up kid. This game is a marathon, not a sprint. Let me know if you want to train again, without the cameras tho! #UFC287

Sterling captioned his post: “When I say something, I mean it. Good working with the next wave of MMA talent.” It is a big opportunity for the 18-year-old ‘El Nino Problema’ to train under a champion and get better as a fighter after a lackluster performance in his last outing against Christian Rodriguez. Rosas Jr. previously said he would be able to beat Sterling and now he finds himself training with him.
