“This Was a Classic”- UFC Legends Reminiscing Their Hollywood Stint With Paul Walker in 2007 Action Thriller Has Fans in a Meltdown

Chuck Liddell remembered his former co-star Paul Walker in his latest social media post. The UFC veteran shared the silver screen with Hollywood actor when the pair joined hands for a 2007 project, ‘The Death and Life of Bobby Z’. Centered around a mafia backdrop and a decorated prison sequence, the movie employed the services of the former UFC light heavyweight champion. Almost 15 years since the release of the movie, the UFC Hall of Famer is now “reflecting” on the cherished memories he shared with the Hollywood star.

The 53-year-old is often credited with popularizing and elevating the UFC to soaring heights in its early days. His nerves of steel and zeal to fight were unparallel as well as his intent to trade blows. As a result, the popularity of ‘The Ice Man’ skyrocketed along with the promotion and he also started picking up roles in Hollywood. This also landed him the role of ‘Maddog’ in ‘Bobby Z’ alongside ‘Fast and Furious’ fame, Paul Walker.

The American fighter recently turned to his Instagram handle and shared snippets from the movie. He donned his iconic mohawk hairstyle alongside another UFC veteran, Tim Sylvia. Notably, Sylvia won the heavyweight title in the UFC twice.

He wrote, “Reflecting on my time in the slammer with @paulwalker RIP and @timsylviamma1 in the movie The Death and Life of Bobby Z.”

Besides the usual suspects Liddell, Sylvia, and Walker, MMA fans can notice another former UFC personnel, Ben Rothwell. The UFC connection doesn’t end here as former UFC champion Robbie Lawler also made an appearance in the movie. He filled in the shoes of a character called ‘Diego’.
