Vicente Luque is the epitome of a true fighter. 372 days after suffering a deadly injury, Luque came back to the UFC Octagon to prove that nothing could stop him. Luque and Rafael dos Anjos locked horns at UFC Vegas 78 and put forward an electrifying fight. After the five-round battle, it was ‘The Silent Assassin’ who emerged victorious via a unanimous decision. Things turned upside down for Luque after Geoff Neal knocked him out at the UFC on ESPN 40 in August 2022. Soon after the terrible loss, the 31-year-old went through post-fight testing, in which it was found that he suffered a bleed in the brain, which is medically known as a subdural hematoma. Many believed that the deadly injury might put an end to his fighting career at such a young age. Nonetheless, he was not ready to give up on his passion and bounced back a year later. Vicente Luque transported to the hospital

 Followed by the bout between Vicente Luque and Rafael dos Anjos, Luque was transported to the hospital. MMA reporter Alex Behunin took to X and wrote, “Vicente Luque has been transported to the hospital, per the UFC. (It’s only precautionary) No post-fight interview.From the tweet of the reporter, it is clear that ‘The Silent Assassin’ has not suffered any severe injuries after the bout. However, he was taken to the hospital just to make sure that he was healthy.

The victory against the former UFC lightweight champion has helped Luque regain his reputation as a tough fighter. Before winning against dos Anjos, Luque faced two consecutive losses against Belal Muhammad and Geoff Neal. Presently, Luque has made it clear that he wants to stay longer in the sport. After his latest victory, his former rival Belal Muhammad declared that he wanted to watch Dustin Poirier versus Luque inside the UFC octagon.

After ‘The Silent Assassin’s triumphant return, Muhammad took to social media to express one of his wishes. Similar to the fight fans, even ‘Remember The Name’ wondered who Luque would fight next. However, he has a perfect answer with him. Muhammad wished to see Luque fight former UFC interim champion Dustin Poirier in the welterweight division.
