UFC was secretly in the works of a massive event. The MMA promotion company announced this Sunday that Robert Whittaker vs Israel Adesanya is going to take place. The fight will take place on February 12, 2022, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Consequently, this is their second matchup. They have already had a run-in with each other, back in 2019. Currently, Adesanya holds the UFC Middleweight Champion belt. He got this title after defeating Whittaker in their previous bout.
Since then, both the fighters have shown their growth in the octagon. While Izzy defended his title three times against Yoel Romero, Paulo Costa, and Marvin Vettori, Robert has defeated three fighters back to back.
