Furthermore, his career reached a high point when he defeated Nate Diaz to be the BMF champion in the UFC. However, after this memorable moment, Masvidal faced one humiliating loss in front of his kids.
Jorge Masvidal was humbled at UFC 251
Jorge Masvidal was having the time of his life before UFC 251. The recently crowned BMF champion was on a 3-match win streak before he faced Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title.

Although Jorge Masvidal was only a replacement for Gilbert Burns, according to him, he should have performed better. The BMF champ lost the match in a unanimous decision.

‘Gamebred’ said in an interview with Megan Olivi, “To my daughter and my son, I’m sorry. Gosh, I hate freaking losing for my kids. That’s one thing that hurts me. I’m sorry. I’ll be back, though, better than ever.”
Furthermore, the BMF added, “I will be right back in the gym. I don’t know when I’ll be fighting, but I’m a workhorse. I’ll be right back in the gym as soon as I get back in after. Thank you, everyone, for tuning in. Miami, Houston, California, New York, I let you down. I saw all the fans who came here for me. Tremendous love and support. I’ll be back, man. All I can say is I tried my hardest. I’ll be back, though. Thank you, everybody.”
Jorge Masvidal’s record after UFC 251

Having promised his fans to be back after his humbling defeat at UFC 251, Masvidal didn’t have the desired results afterward too and the welterweight champ has also criticized Masvidal. ‘Gamebred’ went on to lose to Kamaru Usman for the second time. The rematch went horribly wrong as the ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ knocked Masvidal out.
Furthermore, Masvidal also faced his arch-rival and former friend Colby Covington. He lost to ‘Chaos’ too, via a unanimous decision. Later the enmity between the two accentuated as Masvidal allegedly assaulted Covington in Miami.

It remains to be seen what Masvidal does going forward. The fans will be excited to see ‘Gamebred’ back to winning ways.
