Fabian Edwards, the younger brother of Leon Edwards and his training partner, is the #1 Middleweight fighter of Bellator MMA. Both brothers are extremely ambitious and technical fighters. However, it seems when it comes to winning titles, Leon Edwards beat his younger brother as Fabian Edwards recently lost his title shot opportunity at Bellator 299.

Bellator MMA middleweight division’s champ, Johnny Eblen is the only fighter who stood in the way of Fabian Edwards becoming a champion, just like his older brother. At Bellator 299, which was held in Dublin, Fabian Edwards took his title shot opportunity and entered a fight against Johnny Eblen. The two went back-and-forth but in the third round, Eblen dropped Edwards with an overhand right and some lethal ground punches. Edwards lost that fight and later, sent out a tweet to the fans.

Leon Edwards has been hailed as a really competent UFC champion. Naturally, even Fabian Edwards wanted to get a championship title. However, from the Tweet, it is evident that the loss broke Edwards’ heart.

However, while he was in the middle of his post-win revelry, Fabian Edwards’ older brother, Leon Edwards, stepped in to stand up for his brother. Eblen seemed unfazed by it and the two were about to go at each other. However, the ring officials did a good job of keeping the two fighters away from each other. They kept the two far from each other but there was a heated exchange of words between them.
