With Khabib Nurmagomedov retiring from the sport, it is truly tragic for the fans to have not seen the two fight each other. However, Ferguson has been actively campaigning for the fight against the newly crowned best pound-for-pound fighter.
‘Bones’ Jones has been active on social media explaining his side of the story. He tweeted out, “Unanimous decision over last-minute replacement Al Iaquinta to become champion. Conor McGregor is the only opponent he’s ever had that the general public actually knew. Catapulted my man to becoming the best ever, this is hilarious.”
Khabib is undefeated in the UFC with 13 wins, four of them in world title fights. He captured the belt against Al Iaquinta back in 2018 at UFC 223. ‘The Eagle’ has defended his title three times, his last being his submission win over Justin Gaethje. Per ‘Bones’ these wins aren’t big enough and Tony Ferguson shares Jones’ school of thought. He wrote, “Jon Jones <——————— This guy gets it – CSO,”

Fans must take ‘El Cucuy’s’ words with a pinch of salt, given his rivalry with ‘The Eagle’. He is one of the few fighters with a legitimate claim to support the former light heavyweight champion. Also, he is the fighter with the most glittering resume to not receive an undisputed shot at 155-pounds.
Tony Ferguson is itching for a fight
Since his loss to Justin Gaethje in May, Ferguson has healed up and is looking to get back into the octagon. The people’s champion has been calling out the likes of Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
