Former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson took to social media and fired heavy artillery towards Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor. ‘El Cucuy’ went after his 155-pound counterparts after the two have extended their talks for a possible match-up against each other. Not long ago, Tony Ferguson was in the driver’s seat to secure a massive main event fight.
Following some discourse with the UFC brass, both Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier turned to each other to fight. Not to mention, ‘The Notorious’ offered a sizable donation towards Poirier’s foundation for actualizing the bout. ‘El Cucuy’ last fought back at UFC 249 against Justin Gaethje for the interim lightweight strap. The bout saw Ferguson get the wind out of his sails and ‘The Highlight’ all but finished Ferguson on the feet. The defeat marked the end of Tony’s illustrious 12-fight unbeaten run that saw him tear through the division.
