Things haven’t been easy for the American mixed martial artist ever since he faced Justin Gaethje in 2020. This fight snapped his impressive 12 fight win streak that stretched across the past decade and contained names of former champions. Therefore, White needs to carefully place Ferguson back into the division and allow him to have a tune-up before he steps up in competition. The UFC lightweight division isn’t the same when the likes of Khabib, Kevin Lee, and Conor McGregor were on top.
