UFC 274 marked the return of Tony Ferguson. Looking to secure a long-awaited win after three consecutive losses, Ferguson could not turn things around and suffered a vicious knockout to Michael Chandler. While the night might have not gone in Ferguson’s favor, ‘El Cucuy’ had a lot to say about Joe Rogan and the commentary team.

Ferguson, while speaking to Ariel Helwani, said, “If you watch my Oliveira fight without the commentary, you can actually see the fights better…Because what ends up happening is that the commentary team gang up on people they don’t like. I never did a Joe Rogan interview before, I might, but because of that, obviously, he probably got bent out of shape on that one.”

‘El Cucuy’ also spoke about Rogan’s co-commentator, Daniel Cormier. Ferguson said, “Obviously with Cormier, with Khabib and I make my comments about fathead and him not making weight.”

While Ferguson took a dig at the commentary team, ‘El Cucuy’ seems to be in the mood to take shots at former adversaries. Recently, Ferguson proposed an idea to his arch-rival.

Tony Ferguson proposes an idea to Khabib Nurmagomedov

Ferguson vs Nurmagomedov is one fight that the entire MMA community was excited about. Unfortunately, this bout could never be made and was canceled five times for several reasons.

Even though they can’t fight, they can still compete against one another. Ferguson took to his Twitter to make an interesting proposal to ‘The Eagle’.

‘El Cucuy’ tweeted that since they were supposed to compete, he would like to coach against Nurmagomedov on The Ultimate Fighter. Ferguson guaranteed that his coaching was a lot better than that of Nurmagomedov’s.

He also said that it does not matter what game they play, it will be cool to go out on the show and shake hands with Khabib Nurmagomedov to squash their beef.

Nurmagomedov was quick to respond to this tweet from Ferguson. In his tweet ‘The Eagle’ said that he liked Tony Ferguson’s idea. He asked Ferguson to call up his bosses and let them make an offer. Additionally, ‘The Eagle’ stated that if things fell through, he would be happy to offer ‘El Cucuy’ a deal on Eagle FC.

While Nurmagomedov remains retired and invested in other ventures, Ferguson will look to get back to winning ways after losing four in a row. If this idea by Ferguson comes to fruition, it will delight MMA fans around the world.
