Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov appear to be in talks about competing against each other. The cursed bout that saw the fight fans get disappointed five times in the better part of the last decade, has come around with a twist.

Recently, ‘El Cucuy’ appeared on The MMA Hour and talked to host Ariel Helwani about how the Dagestani fighter could fulfill his father’s wish and still compete against him.

Even ‘The Eagle‘ on his social handle somewhat agreed with what Ferguson implied. However, Nurmagomedov also put on the promoter’s hat and offered Ferguson a post UFC vocation at Eagle FC.

Ferguson wasn’t having any of that and made a strong reply to ‘The Eagle’ in his own style. Nurmagomedov’s manager came to his aid as he claimed, “Tony my man there is nothing you can do better than Khabib.” Subsequently, he offered Nurmagomedov could even beat Ferguson in a ‘peeing competition.’

Ferguson cheekily shut down Ali Abdelaziz and wrote, “Well Ali, Sittin’ And Takin’ A P*ss Doesn’t Count Now Does It Let Fathead Know He Needs Ta’ Stand Up  # WhatAEunic Is That Ewe Typing For His Account Again  Let Me Know When Eure Boy Is Ready To Compete In Fighting- Champ”

Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov made no comments on the matter.

UFC President Dana White was pretty adamant about ‘The Eagle’ not retiring and continuing on fighting. However, it wasn’t the case. Nurmagomedov made it clear he wasn’t coming back inside the Octagon.

However, Nurmagomedov stayed within the fighting realm. He coached many of his teammates for UFC fights. Besides, he put on the promoter’s hat for Eagle FC.

Ferguson’s reputation inside the Octagon has taken a hit lately. However, his fan engagement and a craze about the Tony Ferguson fight week saw no impact because of his current skid. ‘El Cucuy’ is still the boogeyman in fans’ eyes.

Since White offered Nurmagomedov $100 million for a Floyd Mayweather fight, it showed he wanted to do business with the biggest Muslim star in combat sports. And it didn’t matter to him whether ‘The Eagle’ competed inside the Octagon or a ring. Thus, he would definitely make sure he gets ‘The Eagle’ in a TUF setting if not inside the Octagon.
